Acceptable Use Policy
This policy sets the ground rules for using Leasily, including authority over listings and tenancy records, respectful behaviour, and platform security.
1.General rule
You must use Leasily lawfully, honestly, and in a way that does not harm other users, service providers, or the platform itself. This policy applies to landlords, tenants, invited users, and anyone else who accesses Leasily.
2.Authority, accuracy, and lawful tenancy use
You must only create, send, upload, or publish information that you are authorised to use. If you list a property, invite a tenant, issue a charge, upload a document, or send a tenancy communication, you are responsible for making sure it is accurate and permitted.
You must comply with the law that applies to the property and tenancy, including the residential tenancies, privacy, anti-discrimination, and consumer laws of the relevant Australian state or territory.
3.Things you must not do
You must not use Leasily to mislead, discriminate, harass, threaten, impersonate another person, infringe someone else's rights, or collect or charge money in a way that is unlawful.
- Do not upload malicious code, probe for vulnerabilities, or attempt unauthorised access.
- Do not scrape, copy, or systematically extract data from the platform except for your own lawful use of your own records.
- Do not use Leasily to send spam, scam messages, or deceptive communications.
- Do not hold yourself out as a licensed agent, lawyer, or authorised representative if you are not one.
- Do not use Leasily to threaten unlawful eviction, issue false notices, misuse payment pressure, or bypass tenancy dispute processes.
- Do not use tenant screening, application, or messaging tools in a discriminatory, misleading, excessive, or privacy-invasive way.
4.Payments, messaging, and records
If you use payment-enabled features, messaging, documents, or maintenance workflows, you must not misuse them to pressure, deceive, or unlawfully disadvantage another person.
Where Leasily keeps audit trails, signature evidence, payment status, or account records, you must not try to tamper with, falsify, or conceal those records.
5.Exports, closure, and retained records
You may request data exports or account closure where those workflows are available. That does not entitle you to demand immediate deletion of records that still need to be retained for legal, tax, dispute, fraud-prevention, security, or operational reasons.
You should request any export you need before closure is completed where possible.
6.Suspension and reporting
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access if we reasonably believe you have breached this policy, the Terms & Conditions, provider rules, or the law, or if we need to respond to a security or misuse issue.
If you need to report abuse, misuse, or unlawful conduct connected with Leasily, contact info@leasily.com.au with enough detail for us to investigate.
